Platform Health Check · Two-Week Audit

The two-week audit that becomes the roadmap.

A senior pod — strategist, engineer, designer where it matters — looks at your platform from every angle. Performance, accessibility, security, integrations, analytics, and the roadmap you're already running. You walk away with a written report and a prioritized plan. The roadmap is yours either way.

$7,500 — $12,500 2 Weeks Senior Pod No Upsell Pressure
01
Why most engagements start here

A clear-eyed look before the commitment.

Two weeks. A senior pod in your stack. A real assessment of what's working, what's quietly costing you, and what to do about it. Whether or not we work together after.

"More in 30 days than in 2 years."

Marketing Director · Mid-Market Manufacturer

Most platforms have a few systems that are quietly broken, a few that are over-engineered, and a few that just need an honest second opinion. Without someone senior looking from the outside, those issues compound.

The Health Check is structured to surface that picture quickly. It de-risks every decision that comes after — for you, and for us. If a longer engagement is the right next step, we'll know. If it isn't, you'll have a roadmap to take to anyone.

02
What the audit covers

Every angle that matters.

We assess the surfaces a typical agency reviews — and the ones most miss. Platform, content, integrations, analytics, security, and the roadmap you're already running.

01
Platform & Architecture
CMS fit, content model integrity, hosting posture, scalability assumptions, and where the platform is fighting the business it now serves.
02
Performance
Core Web Vitals, render path, asset weight, third-party drag, server response, and the gap between lab scores and what real users feel.
03
Accessibility
WCAG 2.2 AA conformance, keyboard navigation, screen reader experience, and the human cost of barriers your current platform creates.
04
Security & Compliance
Headers, dependency hygiene, auth posture, data handling, and the policy obligations your stack should be quietly satisfying.
05
Integrations
CRM, marketing automation, ERP, analytics, and the duct tape between them. We map what exists, what's brittle, and what isn't earning its keep.
06
Analytics & SEO
Tracking integrity, conversion path visibility, technical SEO health, structured data, and what your dashboards aren't telling you.
07
Content & Editorial
Information architecture, content debt, editorial workflow, governance, and whether the platform helps or hinders the people maintaining it.
08
Design & UX
Visual coherence, interaction patterns, conversion friction, and the brand impressions the platform is — and isn't — earning you.
09
Roadmap & Backlog
The plan you're already running. We pressure-test sequencing, surface dependencies, and tell you honestly which initiatives are pulling their weight.
03
How the two weeks run

A senior pod, not a sales pitch.

Week one is discovery — access, interviews, instrumentation. Week two is synthesis — the report, the roadmap, the walkthrough. You'll spend roughly four to six hours of your team's time, total.

W1
Week One · Discovery
Access, interviews, and instrumentation.

We kick off with a working session, get read-only access to the systems we need, and run focused interviews with the people closest to the platform — marketing, engineering, ops. Then we measure.

  • 90-minute kickoff with your team
  • Read-only access to CMS, analytics, hosting, repos
  • Stakeholder interviews (3–5 conversations, 30 min each)
  • Performance, accessibility, and security instrumentation
  • Integration map and content model review
W2
Week Two · Synthesis
Report, roadmap, and walkthrough.

The senior pod synthesizes findings into a written report, a prioritized roadmap, and fixed-price recommendations for what we'd do next — only if you want us to.

  • Written platform health report (30–50 pages)
  • Prioritized roadmap — fix, improve, leave alone
  • Fixed-price recommendations for the next 90 days
  • Live walkthrough with your team (90 minutes)
  • Q&A and roadmap handoff — yours, either way
04
What you walk away with

Four artifacts. One clear path.

Every Health Check produces the same four deliverables. They're written to be useful to anyone — your CEO, your CFO, your dev team, your next agency.

Deliverable 01
Written Health Report
A 30–50 page narrative report covering platform, performance, accessibility, security, integrations, analytics, content, and design. Findings are evidenced — screenshots, code samples, measured data — not opinion.
Deliverable 02
Prioritized Roadmap
Every finding sorted into fix, improve, or leave alone — with effort estimates, dependencies, and a recommended sequence over the next 30, 60, and 90 days. Yours to run, either with us or without.
Deliverable 03
Fixed-Price Recommendations
If a sprint, retainer, or build is the right next move, you'll see a fixed-price scope with timeline, deliverables, and team for it. No surprise estimates. No upsell pressure.
Deliverable 04
Aligned Strategy
Content, creative, and technical strategy presented together — not in separate documents from separate teams. Most clients tell us this is the part that's hardest to find elsewhere.
05
Who this is for

An honest match check, before we both commit.

The Health Check works for some teams better than others. Here's how to tell.

Right Fit
You'll get real value if…
  • You're considering a replatform, redesign, or major build and want a clear-eyed baseline first.
  • You suspect performance, accessibility, or security gaps but don't have senior eyes in-house to confirm.
  • You've inherited a platform from a previous team or agency and need an objective handoff assessment.
  • You're evaluating agencies and want a working sample of how we think before signing anything bigger.
  • You manage marketing, digital, or product at a mid-market manufacturer, nonprofit, or scaling company.
Not the Right Fit
You should skip this if…
  • You need a one-off task done — a plugin installed, a page rebuilt, a campaign launched.
  • You already have a complete, current audit and are looking only for execution capacity.
  • You're shopping the lowest possible price and want a templated checklist rather than a senior assessment.
  • You want a vendor to validate a decision that's already been made internally.
06
What it leads to

Most long-term engagements started here.

The Health Check is a wedge — a low-risk way to begin. The clients who go on to multi-year work almost all started with one.

Embedded Team
Multi-Region
We run Rubbermaid Commercial's web presence across four regions on an Embedded Team retainer — sites, integrations, and the release calendar that keeps them in step.
Health Check Care · Embedded Team
Care + Growth
Multi-Year
We're the digital team behind USA for UNHCR's donation infrastructure on a multi-year engagement — through every donation peak, integration shift, and campaign push.
Health Check Care + Growth
Platform
Consolidation
Consolidated three regional sites onto one Umbraco platform — content modeling, integration map, editor training across three time zones.

Start with the audit

A senior team in your stack.
A roadmap you own.

Two weeks. Fixed scope. No upsell pressure. If we're the right team for what comes next, you'll know. If we're not, you'll have a roadmap anyway.
